ABOUT PROJECT

PATH TO SUCCESS – EMPOWERING YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE THROUGH CAREER GUIDANCE

PROJECT CONTEXT

The „Path to Success” project addresses the pressing challenges faced by youth in the European labor market, such as changing labour market, employment issues among youth (2023 data show that 4.48 million youth aged 15 -29  were unemployed in the EU), the gap between the possessed skills and the required skills for a certain job (77% of companies struggled to find employees with required skill), school dropout, people leaving education at a young age, lack of digital skills, lack of career guidance services for youth.

With millions of young people in the EU facing unemployment and difficulties accessing relevant career advice, the project aims to bridge the gap between education and the labor market. By equipping youth with the skills necessary to meet market demands, particularly through career counseling and guidance, the project responds to current educational shortcomings in preparing youth for the workforce, with a focus on fostering digital and soft skills.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

Aim

The primary aim of the „Path to Success” project is to empower youth by helping them leverage their natural talents and skills to pursue higher education and navigate their desired career paths.

Objectives

  1. To create a network of 25 youth workers who become specialists in professional career counseling.
  2. To develop soft skills and strengthen employability among 150 youth, particularly youth with fewer opportunities, through professional career guidance services.
  3. To develop a career counseling methodology, program and a card game as tools in career counselling to support the activity of the youth workers involved and also to facilitate transfer to other stakeholders involved in similar activities;
  4. To strengthen the capacity of project parteners by integrating the new developed tools and educational contents in their current youth activity.

TARGET GROUPS
The project targets two main groups:

  • Youth aged 14-25, with a particular focus on disadvantaged youth and NEETs who will benefit from the career counseling services.
  • Youth workers, who will be trained to deliver these services, equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to guide young people effectively in their career development.

METHODOLOGY

The project adopts an innovative methodology combining non-formal education, gamification, and interactive activities to engage youth and enhance learning outcomes. The career counseling program is designed to be holistic, focusing on labor market exploration, self-awareness, soft skills development, and career planning.

Youth workers will be trained through a specialized toolkit, which includes a series of workshops and a job interview card game. The program encourages the active participation of youth in a fun and engaging manner, ensuring they are prepared for real-world job scenarios. The integration of social and emotional learning ensures that the program not only focuses on career development but also on personal growth and resilience.
